Its probably $20 a plate. But you get a lot of food. Its priced pretty reasonably.
Yes, bbq veggies are offered as a main course and there are vegetarian sides.
Not sure give them a call
Fantastic experience. Food was superb.
The food is exceptional, the service wasn’t the greatest.Ribs and brisket both cooked great, intense smoky aroma. Both house sauces are delicious and keep you coming back for more. Grits are solid as well. Seems like they have a good selection of beers and cocktails while the whiskey selection is clearly deep. I’d come back to try more stuff and hope that the service is better.
Had the brisket gyro, oooo yes it was delicious, get those fried pickles too
Good food and big meaty wings. The appies are immense.
Finest spot to buy food when in a rush. Their service is speedy, rates are affordable, good character. Will come visit again
Ok Pontiac is pretty darn fun. This review is only for the bar and the drink we had, as we did not eat any food there. The tiki vibe is exactly as fun as you'd think and pairing it with BBQ couldn't be anymore genius. We popped in specifically to try the rum filled, topped with a tropical flower, lit on fire cocktail "I'm still standing".It was a cold and rainy day in April, but we felt tropical sitting at the bar drinking this sugary sweet concoction surrounded by music from the 1980's while "Return of the Jedi" played on the TV over the bar. This place is summer and nostalgia all rolled together. The service was good and I will return to try some of the awesome looking BBQ the folks around me were noshing on.
I always stop by buying some food in here. I loved the fast customer service and well made dishes. 5 stars.
I just enjoy their food. I always get fantastic service there. The place is well kept and the employees are always friendly. Will visit here again.
I sent my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The dishes they serve are appetizing and the team is very friendly and cooperative. always when we visit this place we have a pleasant time. warmly recommended.
I love their brisket sandwich
Man, I can't say enough good things about this place. Trey, our waiter was great! His recommendations were spot on. Brisket was exceptional my only comment is get lean brisket and not fatty which was on me for ordering it. The brisket was tender and well seasoned, it didn't need anything. The wings were next level perfectly seasoned and smoked no ranch or other BBQ sauce needed. Fried pickles were note worthy, huge portion size, sauce was outstanding as well. The sauce at the table came in two style pepper and spicy both were delectable, the spicy one wasn't overly spicy but had a kick to it. All in all this place is definitely worth a visit.
Great food- the quesadilla was a hit along with the Mac & cheese. It’s a good atmosphere with friendly staff!
I got take out from here and was surprised by how well my sandwich travelled. I got just the regular pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries. The sandwich was great! The meat wasn’t too dry, the sauce was incredible, and everything came together really well. As someone who enjoys spice, I wouldn’t mind a “hot” bbq sauce and a vinegar coleslaw, but it worked nonetheless. The fries were very disappointing however. They weren’t crispy and unseasoned. Granted the crispness could’ve been compromised by the steam from the box, so I’ll let that slide. But they were just unremarkable. I expected regular housemade shoestring and the crinkle cut makes me think they were bought frozen, so disappointing. Great sandwich, sad fries, quick service, cool neon signs. Definitely get a platter here and maybe a different side. I would definitely come back if I was in the area!
I’ve had BBQ all over this great Country and this is by far the most bland, unimaginative “Q” I have ever experienced. It has no distinct point of view. The owner has said he was trying to usher in “Midwestern” BBQ, whatever that is. The result is a watered down, compromised execution. Combine that with a bartender who treats POC as If they are invisible and you have a very unfulfilling dining experience. At least I did. I tried this place twice and nothing changed. Go across the street to The Eagle instead. They’ll be a wait but for good reason. If you want the best BBQ in Cincinnati, look up Eli’s. That is all.
Service and food was fantastic. I went on Tues and did the taco Tuesday brisket tacos. Fabulous is all I can say. Also the wings were amazing as well.
Amazing bbq best part was the staff. Very nice and laid back. Krista was a amazing bartender and made our date night so perfect.
Second visit here, Excellent food.... We ordered the BBQ Veggies, Smoked Wings, and Brisket. Ordered the BBQ Buffalo Turds (Stuffed Jalapenos wrapped in Bacon) as an appetizer.....Trey, our server, was fantastic! Attentive, friendly, and polite....
Brisket sandwich melted in my mouth...perfect amount of fat charring was not brittle, sauce exquisite. WOWWW
The brisket nachos appetizer is a meal all by itself! Brisket sandwich was delicious. Mac and cheese was savory. Cocktails were strong. Service was friendly and fast!
was served raw bloody chicken. If you love chicken and want food poisoning this is the perfect place for you. And they offered to throw my unwrap cooked chicken back in fryer instead of cooking a fresh well done batch. Yes my food had blood coming out of it. Yes it was cold and very much raw. I’ve worked in culinary arts I’m very aware of process. Further action will be taken. And for the record no management came to apologize for this. Even the server was concerned. But thanks for the hospitality. When I’m back in town I’ll be sure to spread the word to the health department of your actions. I’m sure they will find it very sanitary you prefer to put chicken back in fryers
If you like whiskey or BBQ... go here. If you like whiskey and BBQ... you've probably already been. We had great service and the food was awesome. Get the BBQ nachos.
Not a lot of room but it’s cozy! We ordered the brisket nachos and really enjoyed them. Portions are big. Sides were big enough to share for us. $1 chicken wings on Sunday was a great deal!
The beef brisket was amazing. Wife's drink was great. Not the last time we'll be there!!!
Food was delicious. Lydia was down to earth and very helpful. They carry nontraditional soft drinks which is great. Ale 8 a local drink and cherrywine a cherry cola. Great BBQ.
The Texas Brisket had a good black pepper dry rub. The brisket was tender and melted in my mouth. The little sample of coleslaw that came with the sandwich made me wish I had ordered the full size side. The side of baked beans that I had used the same brisket as well as onions and was served warm.
I really enjoy their food and service, good area very close to my home. The workers are always very friendly. I highly recommend this place.
I order a half slab of ribs and mac &cheese. The ribs were ok, but the biscuit was burned and the mac &cheese was disgusting. Update: Pontiac BBQ did refund my money, the ribs were good, I wlll visit again. Hopefully I’ll have a better experience.
I'm given 5 stars even though our waitress was more like 3. Oh well... The food was really good and that is what is most important. Just would have been nice to have our drinks refilled like normal...
The food is constantly well prepared and delightful, workers hands over fantastic customer service. I like how neat it is and ambience. Will come visit again.
This place has the best bar—b-que in Hamilton County. This place. Go there!
The coleslaw, green beans, and cornbread are good. Not a fan of the brisket, it had an off flavor. The BBQ sauce was different than the traditional BBQ almost tasted like taco sauce.
One of the better BBQ joints in town. Everything was delicious. My only hang up was the price. If you're looking to spend money in OTR, this is the place to go. Otherwise there are locations that are just as good for a lot less outside of the city.
It was AWESOME! There was a substantial wait time, but it was well worth. We had smoked chicken wings, pork belly and ribs. Each and every thing was perfect. The smoked chicken was awesome! The pork belly was literally melt-in-the-mouth. Their BBQ sauce is out of the world Delicious! And the ribs... So so good. Just the right balance of dry rub seasoning and BBQ sauce. I am told the Texas style brisket is their speciality... We will be trying that next time!
Along the best brisket I've ever eaten. Wings are great but spicy so sauce on the side might be a good idea.
I honestly enjoyed the dishes and service, awesome area to my home. The employees are always friendly. I highly recommend this place.
Had wonderful first experience dinning in here. I personally ordered the Texas Style Brisket, and must say it was the best brisket I have had to date. Everything I and our group ordered was wonderful. They also have a vast selection of alcoholic beverages to choose from and a nice bar to enjoy. A true gem to Cincinnati and a place I recommend trying.
Great food! I lived in San Antonio for 2 years and this is the closest to southern BBQ you will find in Cincinnati hands down! Love this place and I'll Definitely be back!!!😍
We chose to eat here before an event at Taft Theater. we got an order of fried pickles for an appetizer. They were reasonably priced at $6. I didn't care for the batter on them but my husband did. It was almost like a funnel cake like batter is how i would describe it. I got the ribs and husband got the brisket. The ribs were got. $13 for a half. It doesn't come with any sides so I got an order of green beans for $4. They were tasty but had somewhat of a smokey flavor. There were 2 types of BBQ sauce either regular or hot. I enjoyed the hot sauce. You also get a cheddar biscuit and some pickles on the side with your food. The house margarita was VERY good! and they had some specialty pops that my husband had got. Overall, I would recommend this place and would consider coming here again if I were in the area!
Great service with real recommendations for the menu. We got the brisket nachos and pulled pork sandwich. Both of the meats were tender and flavorful and well complimented by the rest of the dish. The green beans were perfectly sauteed with a bit of a snap left.
UNBELIEVABLE FOOD. Got a pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese, as well as their wings. So delicious, I highly recommend this place! I will be back.
AWESOME FOOD!!! From NC and this this gem of a BBQ joint in Cincinnati is some of the BEST BBQ I've come across in a while. The Pork Belly Burnt Ends are to die for.
Bacon jalapeno grits are the bomb. But, who oreders that and not like jalapeno??? One time i went here, had best service and smoked wings. Another time, they must run out the high labor wings and just fried some with sauce like every other bar room across the country. This place is hit or miss. Been here 2 times. One time couldnt ask for better, the other time couldnt have been worse. I ordered a draft beer, came in whiskey sifter glass, and cost 10.$.
Having eaten BBQ all over TX, Carolinas and Nashville, I was pleasantly surprised to find good BBQ in Cincinnati, at Pontiac. Our group of 5 ordered one of everything and left bloated and happy. Very casual pub atmosphere with friendly service and great prices.
This place sure knows how to treat their customers. Always with a super friendly demeanor. The food is reasonably priced, constantly tasty and clean.
Pontiac BBQ in the OTR (Over The Rhine) District. The ambiance of the place is interesting with painted brick or corrugated galvanized roofing as wall covering for most of it, sporting turquois 1960’s button-back booth seats (yes, 60 years of wear too!) and blues music playing in the background. The smell of smoked meats was pleasant and enticing us to stay. You order meat by the half or full pound here. We ordered a half pound each of Pulled Pork and Beef Brisket along with a side of coleslaw and baked beans which we split between us. The meat was fantastic as were the beans. The coleslaw was descent, but not a favorite. The tray also came with a couple “four-pound” biscuits. They were heavy, but good and enhanced the taste of the pulled pork. The service was very good as well. We will make our way back here someday.
Went to this joint for the first time and was very impressed. The bar was nice. Great drinks. Love the scenery. The food was delicious. And the service was great. Me and hubby will definitely be back.
Just went there yesterday and the nachos were to DIE for!! Highly recommend them, and the brisket burrito. Also their tiki drinks are so cute and tasty as well!
Some of the best wings in the city. Sunday is the best day to go for $1 wings. No disappointment here!
This spot is the one I always prefer. I go to plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I go the most. The team is very receptive and the cooking they offer is so tasty. I never decline to have a decent dinner in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.
One of the top BBQ spots in town! Pork belly and ribs were juicy and tender!
